Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Supply Chain Head located in Bengaluru. The Supply Chain Head will be responsible for managing supply chain operations, including inventory management and operations management. Day-to-day tasks will involve overseeing the movement and storage of goods, ensuring efficient processes, and coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain a seamless supply chain. This role requires strategic planning, as well as active management of the supply chain team's performance to meet organizational goals.

Job Overview: We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of
Supply
Chain
to lead and
oversee our entire
supply
chain
operations. This role involves managing our fulfilment centre for
eCommerce orders, overseeing the
supply
of products to physical stores, and coordinating the
distribution of products to external distributors and franchisees. The ideal candidate will have strong
experience in end-to-end
supply
chain
management, including fulfilment centre operations, logistics,
vendor management, inventory optimization, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Strategy Development:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive
supply
chain
strategy that supports
eCommerce fulfillment, store replenishment, and distribution to third-party
distributors and franchises.
o Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing
supply
chain
team across fulfillment,
distribution, and procurement functions.
o Set long-term and short-term goals for the
supply
chain
department aligned with
business objectives and growth targets.
- Fulfillment Center Operations:
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the fulfillment center, ensuring optimal
efficiency in order processing, inventory management, and shipping.
o Implement and optimize workflows and processes within the fulfillment center to
minimize errors, improve turnaround times, and reduce costs.
o Manage workforce planning for the fulfillment center, including staffing, training,
and performance management.
o Work closely with the eCommerce team to ensure timely and accurate order
fulfillment, meeting customer expectations.
- Inventory and Demand Planning:
o Develop and implement inventory management strategies to ensure product
availability for eCommerce, retail stores, and franchise partners.
o Use data-driven insights to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels at both
fulfillment centers and retail locations.
o Monitor stock levels and work with suppliers to replenish stock in a timely and cost-
efficient manner.
o Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts, overstocking, and
product obsolescence.
- Supplier & Vendor Relationship Management:
o Manage relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and third-party vendors to
ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
o Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure
favorable terms and improve
supply
chain
efficiency.
o Oversee the quality assurance process for incoming products, ensuring all items
meet company standards before distribution.
- Distribution & Franchise Support:
o Manage the distribution network to ensure products are delivered on time to both
retail locations and franchise partners.
o Develop strategies to optimize transportation and reduce costs in product
distribution to franchises and third-party distributors.
o Support franchisees with inventory management and product availability to ensure
smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Collaborate with the sales, marketing, and finance teams to align
supply
chain
initiatives with overall business goals and promotional strategies.
o Work with the IT team to ensure that
supply
chain
technologies (ERP, WMS, TMS)
are integrated and functioning optimally.
o Partner with store operations to ensure timely replenishment and support for
physical retail locations.
- Logistics and Transportation Management:
o Oversee the transportation network, ensuring the timely and cost-efficient delivery
of products across eCommerce, stores, and external distributors.
o Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to
improve delivery performance and reduce shipping costs.
o Implement strategies to enhance last-mile delivery for eCommerce customers and
franchisees.
- Data Analysis & Reporting:
o Regularly review
supply
chain
performance, key metrics (e.g., inventory turnover,
order accuracy, lead time), and operational costs to identify opportunities for
improvement.
o Provide executive-level reporting on
supply
chain
performance, including fulfillment
center efficiency, product availability, and supplier performance.
o Use data to make informed decisions and adjustments to optimize the entire
supply
chain
process.
- Compliance, Risk Management & Continuous Improvement:
o Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal policies
related to product sourcing, storage, and distribution.
o Monitor
supply
chain
risks (e.g., supplier issues, transportation delays, inventory
challenges) and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
o Lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiency, cost
savings, and innovation in
supply
chain
processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in
Supply
Chain
Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or
related field (MBA preferred).
Minimum of 10 years of experience in
supply
chain
management, including at least 5 years
in a senior leadership role.
Strong experience in fulfillment center management, eCommerce logistics, and product
distribution to franchises and third-party distributors.
Proven track record of leading large, complex
supply
chain
operations across multiple
channels (eCommerce, retail, and franchise/distribution).
Expertise in inventory management, demand forecasting, procurement, logistics, and
supply
chain
technology.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience using data to drive decisions.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
