Position Overview:

The Assistant General Manager (AGM) Design plays a pivotal role in leading and managing the design function for the organization. This role involves overseeing design operations across the assigned region, managing the Design team, and ensuring that all design deliverables align with the companys business goals. The AGM Design is responsible for driving creative excellence, maintaining design quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver projects that reflect innovation, functionality, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor the Design Team, ensuring optimal performance and development.
  • Oversee all design operations within the assigned region, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery.
  • Lead design projects from concept to execution, ensuring alignment with client requirements and organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Execution to integrate design with broader business strategies.
  • Establish, monitor, and enforce design standards, processes, and quality control measures.
  • Provide strategic input to senior management on design direction, trends, and innovation opportunities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design team to enhance efficiency and creativity.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented environment within the design department.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in design management, with at least 4–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing design teams and large-scale projects.
  • Strong skills in project management, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Reporting Structure:

  • The AGM – Design will report directly to the Deputy General Manager (Design)
