About the Role

We are looking for a Manager Earthworks & Site Execution with strong experience in site management, excavation, backfilling, levelling, and compaction activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end site execution — managing manpower, equipment, quality, and safety to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead earthworks and site execution activities, including excavation, filling, backfilling, leveling, and compaction as per drawings and specifications.
  • Plan, monitor, and control day-to-day site operations ensuring quality, progress, and safety.
  • Coordinate with survey teams for levels, alignments, and layout marking.
  • Manage and utilize earthmoving and construction equipment (excavators, dumpers, dozers, graders, rollers, etc.) effectively.
  • Ensure technical quality and compliance through soil suitability checks, compaction tests, and adherence to specifications.
  • Supervise site supervisors, foremen, operators, and subcontractors, ensuring effective execution of work fronts.
  • Coordinate with Project Engineers/Managers for inspections, approvals, and issue resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, manpower and machinery logs, and site documentation.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental standards at site.
  • Assist in work schedule preparation, resource planning, and material estimation.
  • Support in client and contractor billing based on site progress.
  • Monitor and ensure efficient site management, productivity, and timely execution of assigned works.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering.
  • 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in earthworks and overall site execution.
  • Proven ability to handle large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or power/refinery projects.
  • Strong understanding of soil, geotechnical, and earthwork methods.
  • Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in site documentation, planning, and progress tracking.

Preferred Profile

  • Experience in EPC / Construction - Power /Thermal Power / Large industrial / Infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of IS codes and standards related to earthworks, excavation, and compaction.
  • Familiar with survey instruments and level checks.
