**Job Title: Restaurant Runner**

**Position Type: [Full-Time], [Permanent]**

**Reports To: [Front of House Manager/Restaurant Manager]**

**Job Summary**:
The Restaurant Runner is responsible for delivering food and beverages from the kitchen or bar to the guests' tables, ensuring timely and accurate service. This role supports the front-of-house operations by maintaining the flow of service, addressing customer needs, and assisting with overall restaurant efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Order Delivery**:

- Transport food and beverages from the kitchen/bar to the appropriate tables promptly.
- Verify that orders are correct and complete before delivery.
- **Customer Service**:

- Interact with guests to ensure their needs are met and handle any immediate concerns.
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables to ensure a smooth dining experience.
- **Communication**:

- Relay special requests or issues between the kitchen, bar, and service staff.
- Keep open communication with servers and kitchen staff to manage order flow.
- **Table Management**:

- Ensure tables are set properly with utensils, condiments, and napkins.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently to prepare for new guests.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Check the presentation of food and beverages to ensure they meet the restaurant’s standards.
- Report any issues with the quality or presentation of dishes to the kitchen.
- **Safety and Cleanliness**:

- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation.
- Maintain cleanliness in service areas and address spills or accidents immediately.
- **Team Support**:

- Assist servers and other front-of-house staff during peak times by performing additional tasks as needed.
- Support kitchen staff with basic tasks if required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.
- **Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- **Physical Requirements**: Ability to stand for long periods, carry heavy trays, and move quickly.
