Procurement Executive

Procurement involves every activity involved in obtaining the goods and services a company needs to support its daily operations, including sourcing, negotiating terms, purchasing items, receiving and inspecting goods as necessary and keeping records of all the steps in the process.

**Job Overview**:
The Procurement Executive will assist the Procurement Team Lead in the Company’s Procurement activities. This includes evaluating vendors, and preparing reports (e.g. on orders and costs). Their main duties include locating key suppliers, preparing reports, evaluating vendors, and making sure their materials and products meet the Company’s specifications. The incumbent should have good knowledge or market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure they are identifying the most profitable offers.

**Responsibilities & Duties**:
Ø Research potential vendors

Ø Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers

Ø Track orders and ensure timely delivery

Ø Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases

Ø Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices

Ø Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses

Ø Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

Ø Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage

Ø Handle claims and rejection settlement

Ø Liaise with store, material planning division and other relevant departments to ensure all progress of orders and requisition are well communicated

Ø Confer with suppliers to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action

Ø Respond to internal customers and supplier’s inquiries about orders status, changes or cancellations

Ø Process purchase requisitions/ orders within purchasing authority

**Skills & Qualifications**:
Ø Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Business Administration or relevant field

Ø At least 2 years of experience in purchasing/ procurement of industrial equipment, preferably in manufacturing industry

Ø Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating or liaising with vendors) and has an understanding of supply chain procedures

Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills to help create constructive relationships with vendors

Ø Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time. The ability to plan, delegate and evaluate progress toward goals is necessary for managing these projects

Ø Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses

Ø Must be able to work under minimum supervision, independently, dynamic and fast-paced environment and meet critical deadlines

Ø Able to control purchase requisition, purchase orders and other relevant documents

Ø Strong Microsoft Excel skills

**Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
