Job Summary:

The Procurement / Purchase Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required by the organization. The role involves ensuring cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, vendor management, and maintaining quality standards in line with company policies and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
  • Request and compare quotations, negotiate prices, terms, and contracts.
  • Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods/services.
  • Maintain and update supplier information, price lists, and purchase records.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store/warehouse team to ensure stock availability.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to achieve long-term benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
  • Assist in budgeting and cost-control measures related to procurement.
  • Track and resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or payment with suppliers.
  • Provide periodic reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain, and inventory management.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase function (industry-specific experience preferred).
  • Knowledge of vendor management, purchase contracts, and logistics.
