**Job Summary**:
The Finance Associate will prepare and maintain financial records to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Performs general cost accounting and other related duties for the organization.
- Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Process Publisher/Customer payments per company guidelines.
- Respond to payment inquiries raised by Publishers or Insticator staff.
- Calculate commissions and bonuses for Sales and Account Managers on a quarterly basis.
- Assist with the processing of employee salaries and contractor payments.
- Reconciles cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts; manages accounts receivable collections.
- Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts (vendors, expense reports, etc.)
- Assist CEO and Director of Finance, on ad hoc projects as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

**Required Skills/Abilities**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Proficient in Google Office Suite or Microsoft Office products..
- Familiarity with, but not required, Bill.Com, Tally, and Tradeshift.

**Education and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, or related field, required.
- At least 3-4 years of related experience required.
