Introduction:
This role will hold responsibility for design and oversight of specific initiatives related to Group Data strategy within Financial Forecasting Domain (Internal Reporting). You will be “hands on” supporting activities to ensure outcomes align with wider finance DQ (Data Quality) strategy. You will be driving innovative and future proofed designs for the activities using your knowledge of data flows, data architecture, reporting and control standards. This will include working closely with CDO (Chief Data Office) teams, coordination with Business clusters, data analysis and consolidation, process assessment and future state operating model/process design, promoting best practice design concepts and solutions.

What will you be doing?

The Internal Reporting DQ Team is accountable for owning specific initiatives as part of the overall finance DQ strategy. This will include:

- Establishment of effective governance for the data domain ensuring operation at satisfactory status
- Establish regular communication with CDO and to act as Central Domain contact to mobilise and facilitate on behalf of SMEs including any initial checks for CDO, assurance review, asset/report attestations, Heatmap Matrix, ADS EUDA Remediation and consolidate outputs for CDO and CCO
- Support to follow on any assigned actions raised in the Divisional DD forums with the SMEs to ensure timely closure
- Support the BAU life cycle for Data Lineage, artefacts and controls for annual re-attestation in compliance with data standard
- Support CDE Owners, DDO, Domain Delegates in successful completion of Metadata Attestation
- Provide support/follows ups with the SMEs to complete the mandatory fields using CDO guidelines for DQ Issues and understanding on the RICM to ensure the correct rating has been applied

What we’re looking for:

- Strong understanding of Data Management, Data Quality and Metadata Management concepts and relevant experience in Data Governance
- Strong control mindset
- Demonstrate a range of styles and techniques in leadership and communications, including influencing and negotiating with a broad set of stakeholders
- Excellent Power-point skills, with the ability to storyboard and produce best in class presentations
- Good knowledge and understanding of using Barclays Data Portal, Qliksense and Qlikview
- Academic or professional qualifications (Qualified CA/ Tier 1 MBA preferred)
- Degree level education and an excellent general academic track record;
