Introduction:

- Supporting all associated reporting deliverables and being a key contact for CCP CFO Business Partnering and BI Finance
- Robust delivery, analysis and commercial understanding across month-end, outlook, investor relations and legal entity reporting
- Provide accurate and insightful analysis to assist the decision making process
- Drive Transformation agenda via efficiencies and automation

What will you be doing?
- Month-end: Provide timely MI and run meetings with key finance stakeholders. Understand variances to outlook and form an opinion on the risk/opportunity to subsequent FY outlooks
- Outlook: Run end to end Outlook process, challenge inputs received from the business to ensure a robust outlook is delivered. Keep on top of timelines and version control
- KPI’s: Ensure controlled KPI reporting. Develop a commercial understanding of the business’ KPI’s, understand how their performance trends impact our P&L
- Legal Entity: Understand differences between management unit and legal entity views, be able to toggle between the 2 views
- Presentation & Commentary: Presentations are clear, easy to follow, pitched at the appropriate level and tailored for specific audiences. Provide insightful commercial analysis for variances to outlook, STP and prior year
- Ad-hoc: Actively participate in deep dive reviews and ad hoc requests
- Reporting systems: Control and governance over submissions, version control and MI being presented in various forums (Board, MBR, MFR etc)
- Transformation agenda: Work to implement and develop systems in-line with the Groups’ strategic infrastructure
- Co-ordinate and support project management of all deliverables to ensure timely delivery and adherence to Centre and BI timelines
- Controls: Ensure adherence to EUDA, GMD, RCSA and all other control frameworks, escalate control issues to line manager and ensure resolution in a timely manner

Stakeholder Management & Leadership
- Key internal stakeholders are: Barclays Germany FD, CCP CFO Business Partnering, BI Finance and BBIe Finance. A close working collaborative relationship with these stakeholders is required to leverage mutual knowledge and skills to make decisions and solve problems proactively
- Regular interaction with finance colleagues across Hamburg, London and Chennai/Noida teams

Decision making and problem solving
- Production, evaluation and presentation of clearly communicated analytics
- Collaborating broadly with a range of finance and commercial teams to integrate analytics and commercial outcomes
- Relevant knowledge is desired but not essential as will be learned on the job. However, what is essential is an ability to pick up concepts quickly
- An enthusiasm for enhancing existing systems and process is also desirable as there is continual focus on this in the team

What we’re looking for:

- Qualified accountant
- Financial reporting and planning experience
- Strong and robust understanding of financial accountancy and analytics
- Good communication skills, able to clearly articulate findings
- Well organised, able to prioritise and deliver multiple high quality deliverables on time
- Commercial knowledge of banking/cards industry (preferred)
- Excellent excel experience
- Good powerpoint skills
