**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Delivery**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for various social science topics, including history, geography, civics, and economics.
- Teach students about historical events, cultural practices, geographical concepts, and civic responsibilities in an engaging and accessible manner.
- Utilize diverse teaching methods and resources, including multimedia tools, interactive activities, and field trips, to enhance student learning.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, assignments, and class discussions.
- Maintain accurate records of student grades and academic progress.
- **Student Support**:

- Offer additional support and guidance to students who need help understanding social science topics or completing assignments.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking about social issues.
- Promote students’ awareness of and engagement with global and local community issues.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the social science curriculum.
- Stay updated on current educational practices and integrate new strategies into lesson planning and teaching.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Address and manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive and focused atmosphere for learning.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to improve teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide educational initiatives.

- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide regular updates to parents about their child’s progress and any concerns related to social science education.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- B.A./M.A. in Social Science (with a focus on relevant disciplines) with B.Ed. (or equivalent teaching qualification).
- **Experience**:

- Familiarity with educational standards and assessment methods for social science education.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of social science topics and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for teaching social science and a commitment to fostering student interest in understanding the world.
- **Certification Requirements**:

- Profiles with Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) are preferred and prioritized
