**Overview**: The Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering comprehensive and engaging science instruction to students in classes 6 to 8. This role involves creating effective lesson plans, fostering a strong understanding of scientific concepts, and encouraging a passion for science among students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Instructional Delivery**:

- Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials for various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Teach scientific concepts, methods, and processes in a clear and engaging manner.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods and resources, including experiments, demonstrations, and technology, to accommodate different learning styles and needs.
- **Assessment and Evaluation**:

- Assess student understanding and performance through tests, quizzes, assignments, and practical work.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback on students’ progress and areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student grades and performance.
- **Student Support**:

- Offer additional support and guidance to students who need help understanding scientific concepts or completing assignments.
- Create an inspiring and supportive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for science.
- Engage students in hands-on experiments and projects to enhance their practical understanding of scientific principles.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the science curriculum.
- Stay informed about current scientific advancements and educational best practices, incorporating these into teaching strategies and materials.
- **Classroom Management**:

- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to ensure a respectful and productive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively and address any issues or disruptions in a timely manner.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in staff meetings, professional development workshops, and training sessions to continually improve teaching practices and stay current with educational trends.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to school-wide educational initiatives.

- Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Provide regular updates to parents about their child’s progress and any concerns related to science education.
- Engage in parent-teacher conferences and other school-related events as required.

**Qualifications**:

- **Educational Requirements**:

- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Science (with a focus on relevant scientific disciplines) with B.Ed. (or equivalent teaching qualification).
- **Experience**:

- Proven experience teaching science to middle school students.
- Familiarity with educational standards and assessment methods for science education.
- **Skills and Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and effective teaching methodologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- **Certification Requirements**:

- Profiles with Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) or Teacher Aptitude Test (TAT) are preferred and prioritized
