**Job description**What you’ll doTransport Manager**Employment Type**:Full Time**Department**:Non-teaching**Location**:K.R. Mangalam World School, Vaishali**Department**:Administration**Reports To**:Principal**Role Overview**The Transport Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing the entire school transport system, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient transportation for students and staff. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to safety standards, and the ability to coordinate with drivers, parents, and school authorities.**Key Responsibilities1. Transport Operations & Fleet Management**
- Plan, schedule, and manage daily transport routes for students and staff.
- Ensure optimal utilization of buses and vehicles.
- Monitor bus timings, routes, and punctuality.
- Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing, and fitness certification to ensure roadworthiness.

**2. Safety & Compliance**
- Ensure strict adherence to **CBSE, RTO, and school transport safety guidelines**.
- Conduct regular safety drills and awareness sessions for drivers, conductors, and students.
- Maintain updated records of licenses, vehicle insurance, PUC, and permits.
- Monitor GPS tracking systems for real-time route and safety compliance.

**3. Team Management**
- Supervise, train, and manage drivers and attendants.
- Maintain discipline, punctuality, and accountability within the transport team.
- Conduct periodic performance reviews of transport staff.

**4. Parent & School Coordination**
- Act as the point of contact for transport-related queries from parents and staff.
- Resolve complaints and grievances promptly.
- Coordinate with school authorities for special events, excursions, and emergency transport needs.

**5. Budgeting & Reporting**
- Manage the transport budget, including fuel, maintenance, and staff costs.
- Maintain transport-related records and generate monthly reports for management review.
- Ensure cost optimization without compromising safety and service quality.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Graduate in any discipline (preferably with specialization in logistics/transport management).
- Minimum **5+ years of experience**in managing transport operations, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong knowledge of **local transport laws, RTO compliance, and school safety regulations**.
- Proficiency in GPS-based tracking systems and MS Office.
