Kyndryl is seeking a highly skilled zOS Systems Programmer to join our team of talented Technical Specialists. In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to shape and drive the delivery of innovative and complex projects for our customers. You will partner with Account focal & other tech teams in the account to execute a portfolio of projects that meet and exceed customer expectations, focusing on the overarching goals.

As a zOS Systems Programmer at Kyndryl, you will play a critical role in the delivery of zOS platform related tasks on assigned accounts. You will work closely with account leaders to plan and prioritize the portfolio of projects, identify potential risks to project delivery, and develop mitigation strategies.

Who You Are
- Responsible for Installation, Maintenance and upgrades for z/OS and ISV products.
- Responsible for Problem determination and remediation. Work closely with customer, vendor and internal teams to remediate problems.
- Adopt the given technology to meet the drift of customer and business requirements
- Act as support and domain expert for z/OS operating system and system components; provide direct technical support as needed in the planning, coordination, installation, implementation and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to z/OS operating system, network, and component software
- Primary support for assigned ISV products along with diagnose z/OS platform system and product issues and follow up with root cause analysis
- Analyze performance issues while providing technical consultation and inquiries from the other IT technical teams
- Support for new product installation and evaluation as needed
- Act as the technical lead on internal team projects or participate on project teams that impact the z/OS platform
- Participate in Disaster Recovery planning and tests as scheduled
- Assume personal responsibility for resolving problems in most effective way possible within SLA reaching root cause and preventing problems
- Lead daily Operations meetings provided there are no P1 incidents running
- Aid with identifying problem management trends
- Well versed in OS components, Networking, Storgae and modernization software such as z/OSMF, zowe etc
- zeal to learn and practice new tools, products or technology areas.
- Hands on expertise/Knowledge in z/OS, SMP/E, SMF, RMF, GRS, JCL, WLM, RACF, VTAM, TCPIP, USS/OMVS etc
