Counsellor/psychotherapist

Brush of Hope is a non-profit organization committed to fighting cyberbullying, sextortion, and online abuse. We're seeking compassionate and empathetic counsellors to be part of our mission and offer essential support to victims. This is a unique opportunity to work in our upcoming 24/7 call center, where you’ll play a vital role in providing guidance, counseling, and assistance to those in need. As a counsellor at Brush of Hope, your primary responsibility will be to offer psychological support to individuals who have experienced online abuse. You will listen, console, and provide guidance to help them navigate their emotional journey. In some cases, you may need to escalate situations for further action.

**Responsibilities**:

- Offer empathetic support and counselling to victims of online abuse.
- Understand and assess the nature of the victim's issues, providing appropriate guidance.
- Handle emergency situations, provide immediate guidance, and escalate cases when necessary.
- Educate victims about online safety, prevention measures, and digital wellbeing.
- Participate in school exhibitions and awareness programs to further BoH's mission of educating the public on online abuse
- Maintain confidentiality and offer a safe space for individuals seeking help.
- Keep records of counselling sessions and follow up on victim progress.

**Requirements**:

- Certified in counselling or psychology.
- Experience in handling sensitive and high-stress situations
- Knowledge of cybercrime, online abuse, and human behaviour is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Hindi, English, Marathi.
- Flexibility to work in a rotational 8-hour shift (as this is a 24-hour helpline).
- Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental support to individuals in need.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
