Counsellor/psychotherapist

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct **counseling sessions** for students to address academic, emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.
- Provide **counseling support** to teachers and support staff for workplace challenges, stress management, and personal development.
- Design and deliver **mandatory training programs** for students, teachers, and support staff on topics such as mental health awareness, conflict resolution, stress management, communication skills, and professional development.
- Work with school administration to identify key areas for training and counseling to support a healthy school environment.
- Develop individual or group **counseling plans** for students or staff based on specific needs.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback, as well as follow-up sessions, where necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in counseling practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administration to develop strategies for students in need of academic or behavioral support.
- Stay updated on the latest counseling techniques and training methods to ensure high-quality service.

**Requirements**:

- **Bachelor’s/Master’s degree** in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Relevant certification or licensure to practice counseling in educational settings.
- Proven experience in **counseling** students and adults, preferably in a school or educational environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work empathetically with diverse age groups.
- Experience in creating and conducting **training sessions** for a variety of audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities on a part-time basis.
- Knowledge of current mental health trends, educational psychology, and developmentally appropriate counseling practices.

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
- Knowledge of **child and adolescent development** and behavior management strategies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic school environment.
