**Academic Counsellor Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Counseling and Advising**: Conduct one-on-one sessions with students and families to discuss educational goals, offer information about study abroad programs, and recommend suitable options.
- **Information Dissemination**: Host informational sessions and develop materials like brochures to inform students about study abroad opportunities.
- **Follow-Up and Communication**: Maintain communication with students, track their progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
- **Closures and Conversions**: Manage student inquiries, work to convert leads into enrollments, and meet enrollment targets.
- **Partnership Management**: Build relationships with partner institutions and stay updated on their programs and requirements.
- **Professional Development**: Stay informed about international education trends and attend relevant events.

**Skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational abilities and time management
- Proficiency in CRM systems and office software

**Competencies**:

- Empathy and understanding of student needs
- Strong sales and closure skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Detail-oriented with accurate document processing

**Working Conditions**:

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in student counseling, especially in study abroad
- Understanding of international education systems, admission processes, and visa regulations
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
