**Role & responsibilities:

**Monitoring and Operation**: Keep a close eye on boiler systems, including monitoring pressure, temperature, and fuel levels. Operate and control boilers to maintain efficient and safe operation.

**Maintenance**: Perform routine maintenance on boiler systems, which may include cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed. This helps prevent breakdowns and ensures optimal performance.

**Troubleshooting**: Identify and diagnose issues with boiler systems. This involves analyzing malfunctions, conducting tests, and implementing repairs to restore functionality.

**Safety Compliance**: Ensure that all boiler operations adhere to safety regulations and standards. This includes monitoring safety devices, conducting regular safety checks, and implementing procedures to minimize risks.

**Record Keeping**: Maintain detailed records of boiler operation, maintenance activities, and any repairs performed. This documentation is crucial for compliance, analysis, and future reference.

**Efficiency Improvement**: Work on optimizing boiler efficiency to reduce energy consumption and operational costs. This may involve adjusting controls, improving combustion efficiency, or recommending upgrades.

**Emergency Response**: Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures or malfunctions. Implement emergency shutdown procedures when necessary and coordinate with relevant personnel.

**Training**: Provide training to other staff members on proper boiler operation and maintenance procedures. This ensures a well-informed and skilled team to support the boiler systems.

**Inspections**: Conduct regular inspections of boiler components to identify signs of wear, corrosion, or other issues. Schedule and oversee external inspections as required by regulations.

**Environmental Compliance**: Ensure that boiler operations comply with environmental regulations, including emissions standards and waste disposal procedures.

**Communication**: Maintain clear and effective communication with other engineering staff, supervisors, and management regarding the status of boiler systems, ongoing maintenance, and any issues that may arise.
