Network Team Member Job Description

Technical Skills
- A good understanding of different products from Cisco, Juniper and networking product of various makes.
- Hands on experience in implementing and configuration of Cisco Routers, Layer 3 and Layer2 Switches, Modems, Leased Line maintenance.
- Experience on different media & protocols like ISDN PRI/BRI, Channelized E1, HDLC, PPP, RF, VSAT, MPLS etc.
- TCP / IP - ARP, ICMP, DHCP, TCP / UDP, IP addressing
- Application layer: FTP, DNS, SNMP, NTP, Telnet and SSH
- Authentication services - RADIUS, TACACS+, Cisco ACS
- Operational tools - BMC Remedy, Solarwinds, NetFlow, Service-Now.
- Good understanding of technology like IPSEC, Wi-Fi, NAC, site-to-site VPNs, remote VPNs, GET VPN, hub and spoke VPN, 3DES, AES,GRE, GRE Over IPSEC, SSO, GLBP.
- Hands on experience on high-end networking devices like Cisco ASR series routers. Cisco 6500 and Nexus series switches.
- High trouble shooting skills in LAN, WAN problems.
- Basic understanding of SDWAN technologies
- Structured cabling (CAT6, Fiber)

Project /Practice Management
- Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities.
- Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects and operations.
- Effectively applies our methodology and enforces project standards.
- Prepares for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Liaising with the vendor/partners to ensure seamless integration and coordination of tasks.
- Responsible for translating any new business requirements into technical specifications.
- Managing and conducting communications and change plans with the stakeholders.
- Creating and circulating status reports to stakeholders.
- Establishing agreed timelines and responsibilities.
- Ensures all documents are complete, updated and stored appropriately.
- Ensures to maintain compliance for network components as per audit standards.
- Ensures to manage audit related responses and queries and to share relevant data to compliance/regulators teams.
- Technical and commercial evaluation of BOMs/BOQs for new requirements.
- Arranging meetings with various service providers, vendors for discussion of the projects, timelines, SLA and operational issues.
- Day-to-day network performance monitoring.
- Oversee the management of a team of outsources operations resources. Provide oversight and direction for outsourced operations resources.
- Responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability, SLAs and performance.
- Network troubleshooting and fault analysis.
- Deployment and maintenance of network monitoring, analysis and reporting tools.
- Trouble ticket generation and response.
- Application of configuration changes via change control systems and processes.
- Installation of network hardware and software.
- Experience with management of vendor/ partners/ outsourced service providers.
- Ensuring efficient management of service requests, incidents and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Availability, Capacity, Performance, Incident and Problem management.
- Drive a process of continuous improvement based upon elimination of defects through pro-active and reactive root cause analysis and automationMIS reporting.
- Strong communication skills.
- 7-10 years of relevant work experience in network projects and operations preferably in Banking / Financial Services organization.

**Educational Qualifications and certifications**
- B.E. or Diploma (Elex or Elex. & Telecommunications)
- CCNP / CCIE preferred
