The Warehouse Incharge will be responsible for managing end-to-end warehouse operations. This includes overseeing the storage and flow of raw materials, components, semi-finished, and finished goods in coordination with the production department. The role requires maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring uninterrupted supply to the shop floor, and supporting production timelines by ensuring accurate and timely material movement.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Production-Linked Warehouse Operations

Collaborate with the production team to understand daily and weekly material requirements.

Ensure timely issuance of raw materials and components to production lines to avoid downtime.

Monitor material flow and consumption during production processes.

Coordinate inward of semi-finished goods from production and arrange appropriate storage.

2. Raw Material & Finished Goods Management

Oversee the receipt, inspection, and proper storage of raw materials and consumables.

Ensure proper tagging, binning, and FIFO (First In, First Out) handling.

Manage finished goods inventory and coordinate with dispatch/logistics for timely deliveries.

3. Inventory Accuracy & Control

Maintain minimum and maximum stock levels as per production planning.

Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reconciliations.

Report stock discrepancies, shortages, or excesses to production and procurement.

4. Coordination Across Departments

Liaise with production, quality, planning, and procurement teams for seamless operations.

Support planning by sharing timely and accurate inventory data.

Escalate material shortages or delays that may affect production schedules.

5. Team Management

Lead and supervise warehouse staff, including storekeepers, handlers, and equipment operators.

Allocate manpower efficiently across shifts to meet production and dispatch demands.

Train team members in warehouse processes, safety, and material handling.

6. System & Documentation

Ensure all inventory movements are recorded accurately in the ERP/WMS.

Maintain proper documentation: GRNs, issue slips, return notes, stock ledgers.

Generate daily and weekly MIS reports on warehouse and production support activities.

7. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

Enforce safety protocols within the warehouse and material storage areas.

Ensure proper use of PPE, safe stacking, and clean working environment.

Comply with company and statutory norms for storage, fire safety, and material handling.

Qualifications & Skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree

2. 3-6 years of warehouse management experience in a production/manufacturing setup.

3. Strong understanding of production processes and material flow.

4. Good communication and team management skills.
