**Job Title**: GC Operator - Quality Control (Cosmetics Industry)

**Reporting To**: QC Manager / Quality Head

**Job Overview**:
The GC Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining the **Gas Chromatography (GC)** system to test and analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished cosmetic products. The role ensures all analytical results meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate, calibrate, and maintain **Gas Chromatography (GC)** instruments (with FID, ECD, or MS detectors).
- Conduct routine and non-routine **analytical testing** of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Prepare and standardize reagents, solvents, and reference standards.
- Record and interpret chromatograms accurately in line with **SOPs and GMP** requirements.
- Ensure **documentation** in laboratory notebooks, logbooks, and reports as per company standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot minor instrument issues; escalate major problems to the QC Manager or vendor.

- Follow **Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)** and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
- Support in internal and external audits (ISO, FDA, etc.).

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- **Education**: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience operating GC in a **cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or FMCG** QC lab.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Hands-on experience with **GC** (Agilent, Shimadzu, or similar models).
- Understanding of **GMP / GLP** standards.
- Basic knowledge of **analytical techniques** (HPLC, UV, IR preferred).
- **Soft Skills**: Attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and teamwork.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
