Job Title**:Solution Architect - Azure**

Location: Manchester Office, UK - Hybrid role

Contract type: Permanent

Business Line:_ _Airport Systems - Providing systems to optimize processes and advanced data analytics for actionable insights to improve airport performance.

**The opportunity**

As Solution Architect Azure will provide technical leadership on Microsoft Cloud, Azure and Azure DevOps areas. Projects would typically include new implementations, cloud migrations, DevOps, governance and platform strategy as well as a custom solution delivery provided by development or configuration tools. As Solution Architect Azure you will also be deeply engaged early with prospective customers in the sales/Presales cycle to provide technical demonstrations and help support the overall sales effort. As Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Cloud, Microsoft Cloud, Azure, DevOps within the division, you will be expected to champion the Organisational focus on Microsoft Azure

**You will make an impact by.**
- Provide configuration guidance and architecture support from Sales to Implementation
- Lead the requirements and configuration analysis phase of a project and develop the system and configuration design to meet the requirements in line with technical assumptions and constraints applied at the bid stage;
- Present and demonstrate technical solutions to customers, translating business requirements to configuration, system design and product development;
- Work closely with the Solutions Architect to maintain the products strategic HLD
- Work closely with the product owners, project managers and development team to ensure that the product and solution fulfils the requirements;
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise through the Design Authority, share knowledge and experience to ensure a consistent framework to a products direction and development.
- Capture and report any changes that effect the integrity of the strategic product blueprint to the Design Authority / Head Of Products;
- Present and demonstrate technical solutions to customers, translating business requirements to configuration, system design and product development;
- Provide and share knowledge on how the solution is deployed, integrated, configured and used in the customer’s eco-system;
- Provide mentoring and guidance on solutions to Lead Engineers in the development and delivery teams;

- Airport and airline industry knowledge and experience;
- Experience with architectural modeling, on premise and cloud-based solution;
- Experience of design and delivery of High-Availability solutions in real time operational environments;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate with and influence a broad range of stakeholders at all levels;
- Ability to communicate technical information to a business user and translate business process requirements into technical solutions design;

**The knowledge you can bring**
- Solid IT experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Azure architecture, design & delivery experience
- Experience in Azure Infra, Networks, Storage, Apps and Azure DevOps
- Experience in Creating solutions, presenting and articulating winning prepositions for Microsoft Azure
- Experience in developing cloud migration approaches, defining migration roadmaps and providing estimates
- Experience with Azure Resource Manager, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery

**Key Additional information**:
Need to be able to visit the office at least twice a week to collaborate

Opportunity of international travel - this could be one week per month on average.
