**Role purpose**

To design and deliver a range of blended learning interventions to support the successful roll out and stabilisation of one or more technical and business process change programmes. The post holder will be responsible for the creation and delivery of both stand-alone and trainer-led learning interventions including, but not limited to, videos, e-learning courses, Q&A forums, webinars and face to face training.

To enable a blended learning (70:20:10) and multi-channel (including eLearning) delivery approach to ensure colleagues receive high quality and engaging learning experiences which build measurable long term financial skills and capabilities that deliver overall improvements in the finance function’s performance.

**The Role**

The British Council is implementing on a number of substantial changes in finance processes and undergoing a tremendous amount of change. This role will work within Shared Services Centre supporting these changes as well as Finance Innovation Program.

To support the finance teams, we are committed to designing and delivering sustainable, professional and cost-effective training to a global audience with varying learning needs. The post holder will work closely with the Global Process Owners, Governance team and other relevant stakeholders to achieve this.

The Finance Trainer role is a key role in developing the trainer-led training offer in the financial training function to support the development of the finance function.

**Production and Maintenance of Blended Learning Interventions**
- Produces, tests and quality assures a range of branded learning materials in support of change programmes for delivery principally via e-learning, webinar (via zoom or WebEx) and occasionally face to face, putting the learners needs at the heart of material development.
- Responds to feedback from a range of stakeholders and modifies learning materials on an on-going basis to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Shares all new learning materials to wider training team and uploads to the Learning Management System in the appropriate format.
- Ensures all learning intervention materials are ready for use and are easy to acess as part of Business as Usual once the change programme has closed.Ensures all learning intervention materials of Business as usual courses are updated and relevant for users at all times.

**Training Delivery**
- Trains end users in relevant knowledge, techniques and skills using appropriate methods, equipment and materials.
- Assists learners to carry out pre/post course work to ensure maximum learning benefit is gained from the practical experience. Supervision of learning will usually take place remote training technology such as zoom or WebEx or occasionally face to face in a British Council office.
- Provides detailed instruction as necessary and responds to wide ranging and detailed questioning in own area of specialisation.
- Manages practical arrangements for own course delivery - ensures joining instructions, evaluation and post course materials are sent out by training support officer, and course registers are completed immediately.Uses online forums such as change programme yammer forums and wikis, via mails from functional mailbox to respond to questions from End Users in a timely and appropriate fashion.

**Monitoring and Evaluation and Learning**
- Manages the collection of all feedback from users and stakeholders on all learning interventions as agreed with the SMEs/Project Managers/Finance Training MangerEvaluates and acts on feedback received, modifying courses and web based resources (intranet, learning portal, guides) as required to meet user and stakeholder requirements.

**Information Security**:

- Ensure that their workforce is aware of the information security policies and comply with them
- Ensures that the team complies to ISO 27001 and IGA related requirements
- Send account opening requests effectively
- Disable accounts immediately for leavers and Absconders /on long leaves
- Document and monitor / review access levels of his/her team
- Provide security awareness and education to team
- Manage Records to ensure compliance to Freedom of information act.Ensure incidents of their respective functions are closed within SLAs

**Requirements of the role**:
**Minimum/ essential**
- Commerce/Finance Graduate or MBA Finance
- Competent user of web-based training tools such as zoom, WebEx and yammer or wiki forums.
- Competent user and knowledge of Learning Management System
- Competent in adding or editing content on Share Point (or a willingness to become competent within 3 months)
