**Job Title: Special Educator**
**Location**: Bangalore
**Job Type**: Full-time
**Salary**: ₹20,000 - ₹27,000 per month (Based on experience, with a minimum of 3 years required)
**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities:1. Develop and Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)**:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design IEPs for students based on their unique needs.
- Regularly review and update IEPs to track student progress and make necessary modifications.
- Ensure that IEP goals align with the student's academic and developmental needs.
**2. Classroom Support & Instruction**:
- Adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet the needs of students with diverse abilities.
- Use **differentiated instruction** techniques to support students with special needs in a mainstream or special education setting.
- Implement **behavior management strategies** to create a positive learning environment.
- Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning objectives.
**3. Monitor and Evaluate Student Progress**:
- Conduct formal and informal assessments to measure student progress toward IEP goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievements and challenges.
- Provide **regular reports** to parents, teachers, and administrators on student development.
**4. Collaboration with Teachers and Specialists**:
- Work alongside general education teachers to develop inclusive classroom strategies.
- Coordinate with **speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors**, and other specialists to support student development.
- Provide guidance and professional development sessions for school staff on inclusive education practices.
**5. Parental and Community Engagement**:
- Conduct meetings with parents/guardians to discuss student progress and provide guidance on home-based learning strategies.
- Foster strong relationships with families to ensure consistency in learning and behavior management.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of students with disabilities in school and community settings.
**6. Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities**:
- Ensure adherence to **government regulations and inclusive education policies**.
- Maintain proper documentation of student progress, accommodations, and support strategies.
- Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and continuous professional development programs.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- **Educational Qualification**: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (B.Ed./M.Ed. in Special Education) or a related field.
- **Certifications**: RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) certification is preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum **3 years** of experience working with students with disabilities (e.g., learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual disabilities, etc.).
- Strong understanding of **inclusive education principles** and special education laws.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing **IEPs and behavior management plans**.
- Experience in using **assistive technology and adaptive learning tools** is a plus.
