Chinese Commi 1

As a Commi 1 specializing in Chinese cuisine, you will work under the supervision of our Head Chef or Sous Chef to assist in the preparation and cooking of a wide range of Chinese dishes. Your primary responsibilities will include:

- **Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including cutting, chopping, marinating, and seasoning, according to recipes and specifications. Ensure that all ingredients are fresh, properly portioned, and ready for cooking.
- **Cooking Techniques**: Execute cooking techniques specific to Chinese cuisine, such as stir-frying, steaming, braising, and deep-frying, with precision and consistency. Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure that dishes are cooked to perfection.
- **Dish Presentation**: Work closely with the kitchen team to plate and garnish dishes in accordance with established presentation standards. Pay attention to detail to ensure that each dish is visually appealing and reflective of our restaurant's quality and style.
- **Station Organization**: Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation, including proper storage of ingredients, utensils, and equipment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times to ensure a hygienic working environment.
- **Quality Control**: Assist in monitoring food quality throughout the cooking process, including taste, texture, and appearance. Communicate any concerns or discrepancies to the Chef or Sous Chef to ensure that quality standards are consistently met.
