**You’ll spend time on the following**:
Manage multiple monthly payrolls for a group of assigned countries. Groupon operates in 10 EMEA countries, the US, Canada, and Australia, so this person will be responsible for Payrolls in 2-3 of these countries. As the first point of contact with our internal customers, the Payroll Coordinator will have a significant impact on our ability to meet SLAs, and the right-first-time approach will be critical to our service delivery. This person will also need to manage incoming escalations/rework, ensuring that the confidence of the customer is maintained and customer satisfaction goals are achieved.

This is a processing role and occasional project work: Work Location: India

**Payroll responsibilities but not limited to**:

- Responsible for the quality of payrolls processed by the outsource payroll providers
- Establish & maintain payroll records
- Validation of all payments and deductions
- Acquire technical mastery of the payroll systems in place
- Assist HR local contacts with their queries
- Strive to deliver excellence in Customer Service
- Maintaining and creating payroll accounting, journals and supporting the finance team to analyze and explaining monthly fluctuations of Payroll expenses
- Support the General Accounting team to reconcile monthly Payroll accruals
- Maintain and improve accurate controls
- Good communication skills and organizational skills as well as flexibility
- Answer employee's payroll questions, within the expected timeframe
- Attention to detail and accuracy in every aspect of the role
- Analytical skills, ability to work with numbers
- Sense of responsibility, urgency, strong service orientation, and teamwork
- Maintaining full confidentiality and discretion at all times, due to the sensitivity of the data

**Compliance**:

- Responsible for payroll SOX controls
- Ensure SOX processes effectiveness
- Liaise with external and internal auditors to answer inquiries

**Change management**:

- Involved in all ad-hoc projects including process improvements within the international environment

**We’re excited about you if you have**:

- Minimum 3 years experience in International payroll
- Experience in e-commerce or a large multinational company is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Degree level in payroll, accounting, HR or finance a plus
