**Sourcing team - Metal Commodity***:

- Job Description:
Designation : Senior Engineer / Asst. Manager - Sourcing (Direct Materials)
Commodity : Metals Commodity (Aluminum castings, Steel forgings, Machining and Fasteners)
Experience : 4 to 6 Years
Education background : Diploma / B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering
Preferred Industry : Automotive 2 Wheeler OEMs / Automotive Tier 1 Suppliers
Key skill sets:
Part cost estimation
Detailed knowledge of manufacturing processes like Die casting of aluminum parts, Fabrication & welding of sheet metal parts, Steel forging, Machining, assemblies etc.,
Knowledge on special processes like heat treatment, plating, liquid painting & powder coating etc.,
Knowledge on manufacturing of Dies, molds, tools, gauges, jigs and fixtures etc.,
Good negotiation skills
Knowledge on APQP development processes
Good Communication skills both in Written and Verbal
Job Profile:
Responsible for assigned commodity components sourcing, development, & procurement
Scouting suppliers, auditing & on-boarding them as per company standards
Studying drawings & specifications of parts assigned
Estimation of Cost for each part through Zero Based Costing
Floating RFQs / RFIs to selected suppliers to get competitive price quotes
Coordinating with internal tech team & Suppliers for Manufacturing feasibility study
Negotiating with suppliers in selecting best manufacturing process at optimum cost
Finalizing cost & releasing Purchase Orders
Releasing LOIs, Purchase orders for parts & toolings
Follow-up & ensure completion of toolings and components as per the project timelines
Coordinate with Quality team for inspection & approval of toolings, gauges & fixtures
Ensuring parts availability as per the project milestones
Conducting PPAP reviews coordinating with suppliers and internal quality control team
Releasing part requirement schedules, follow-up with suppliers & ensuring parts availability for production as per plan
Ensuring part production ramp-up at supplier as per schedule
Work on alternate process, material, technology or supplier to meet PQCD goals
Ensuring ECN implementation on time
Monitor and review suppliers delivery & quality performance

Interview process - HR, Hiring Manager, Co-founder - 3 rounds
