Job Summary

As an Analyst, Sourcing & Procurement in the Technology Sourcing team, you will lead the sourcing and contracting process for third-party supplier spend across various groups within a Line of Business. You will work closely with line of business colleagues to identify capable suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with our strategic priorities. This role offers the opportunity to develop strong relationships with senior executives and promote significant sourcing transactions, leveraging your extensive technology sourcing experience and strong relationship management skills.

Job responsibilities

  • Help support the category management deliverables including: analysis & data gathering (product and service awareness study, historical spend, TPO, inputs from the LOB, market analysis), partnering with onshore team for findings and observations, procurement operations and SRM; supplier management (% of gold & diverse supplier spend, segmentation, preferencing, capability analysis and rationalization); commercials (negotiate savings to P&L, EPD enabled spend, cost and spend analysis for target saves initiatives); contract management (new or improved MSA & SLA terms); compliance (ADA, secondary data use restrictions, purchasing channel).
  • Develop working relationships with senior executives in technology sourcing and other lines of business, understand their business drivers, and their requirements for engaging third parties.
  • Ensure 3rd party vendor relationships and channel compliance are consistent with GSS strategic priorities.
  • Lead the development and execution of strategies for significant sourcing transactions, partnering with global teams and clients on local, regional and global sourcing projects.
  • Identify qualified candidate suppliers capable of meeting JPMC requirements and carry out in-depth supplier due diligence as required.
  • Work with LOB clients and other stakeholders to define requirements for a sourcing transaction and design the competitive process to obtain the best overall value-added solutions from candidate suppliers.
  • Evaluate competitive offerings from suppliers to develop and present sourcing options that meet JPMC's business requirements.
  • Lead negotiations to establish commercial terms and oversee the contract development process through approval and execution.
  • Maintain compliance with all policy and procedural guidelines, including ensuring selected vendors are compliant with SLAs through collaboration with internal partners and client teams.
  • Partner closely with internal JPMC legal, risk, third party oversight and finance teams towards the successful completion of intricate negotiations and initiatives.
  • Conduct in-depth cost and spend analysis to develop and implement cost reduction initiatives.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Extensive experience in technology sourcing, contracting, and procurement, specifically with global and regional third-party providers.
  • Proven track record in managing third-party providers, commodity or spend categories, and delivering complex sourcing or vendor management initiatives.
  • Strong client and relationship management skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of management and regions within the bank.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and sound judgment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially advanced Excel) and Ariba
  • Strong financial analysis skills and experience with project management in complex initiatives.
  • Degree-level education and at least 4+ years' relevant experience in banking or financial services industry.
  • Excellent internal client management skills and extensive people management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinker with knowledge of RFI/RFP/RFQ processes and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of legal contracts, including service level agreements, and experience interpreting legal clauses and managing contractual risks.
  • Knowledge of IT and financial systems, and expertise in PO administration, specifying goods and services, and driving improvements in contracting practices.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Hands-on experience handling contracts related to SaaS, ITPS, Staff Augmentation, PaaS, and CaaS.
  • Ability to understand and negotiate complex contract clauses.
  • Familiarity with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools and technologies.
