**Job Title: Photo Researcher for Print and Editorial**
**Experience: 4-6 Years**
**Responsibilities**:
- Conduct thorough research to find high-quality and relevant images that align with editorial themes, topics, and requirements.
- Collaborate with editors and designers to understand the visual needs of each project and provide creative input on image selection.
- Be able to anticipate layout requirements and clarify possible approaches with designers before finalizing image selections.
- Evaluate and select images based on visual appeal, relevance, quality, and suitability for print publications.
- Ensure all selected images comply with copyright laws, usage rights, and licensing terms.
- Maintain organized digital archives of licensed images and associated metadata for future reference and reuse.
- Communicate with the customer with detailed notes on the purpose and intended use of images.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging photographers, and new sources of imagery to expand and enhance our image library continually.
- Provide support and guidance to colleagues on image usage, licensing, and best practices for print and editorial projects.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the photo research workflow.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in photography, visual arts, journalism, communications, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Photo Researcher or similar role, preferably in a print or editorial environment.
- Strong visual literacy and a discerning eye for composition, aesthetics, and storytelling through imagery.
- Excellent research skills with the ability to find and evaluate images quickly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in digital asset management systems and image editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
- In-depth knowledge of copyright laws, intellectual property rights, and licensing practices related to image usage.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented approach focusing on accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with print production processes and editorial workflows is a plus.
- Passion for photography, visual storytelling, and staying abreast of industry trends and developments.
**Salary**: ₹300,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
