**Experience**: 6+Years
- Must have expertise on managing PostgreSQL in on-premises and **Azure PostgreSQL in PaaS** and IaaS.
- Must have knowledge on PostgreSQL Installation and configuration using automation script in all versions.
- Must have knowledge on database security patch upgrade with least possible downtime.
- Must have knowledge on solution and design for new environment.
- Must have knowledge on High Availability solution replication.
- Must have knowledge on Backup and disaster recovery solution with troubleshooting experiences using in Barman.
- Must have Knowledge on maintain the users and roles permissions.
- Must have knowledge on Security and audit benchmark on CIS Standard.
- Should have an understanding of the limitations and the work-arounds for managing PostgreSQL deployed on PaaS and IaaS platforms.
- Must have the mindset of helping customers to implement Community PostgreSQL and Open Source solutions for regular activities.
- Must have a deeper understanding of the PostgreSQL architecture and internals.
- Must have knowledge on implementing Automatic failover using replication, Parallel backups and Connection Pooling using Open Source tools.
- Must be able to handle Catalog Corruptions, Database Corruptions and Point in time recovery.
- Must be able to analyze the logs ,performance tuning to optimize the time consuming SQL’s.
- Must have knowledge on the most widely used extensions in PostgreSQL for monitoring, analyzing and maintaining the databases with Prometheus and Grafana.
- Must be able to perform PostgreSQL Upgrades from legacy to latest versions with least possible downtime.
- If you have been an Oracle DBA for more than 8 years, at least 4 years of experience in PostgreSQL is preferred.
- Must be able to perform Azure PaaS PostgreSQL migration from Oracle using ora2pg tool.
- Must be able to perform Azure PaaS PostgreSQL migration from MS SQL server.
