**Job Title**: Chef de Partie (CDP) & Above

**Reports to**: Head Chef / Executive Chef

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Leadership & Team Collaboration**:
- Supervise and lead a section of the kitchen, ensuring consistency in food preparation and presentation.
- Assist in training, guiding, and mentoring junior chefs and kitchen staff.
- Collaborate closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
- Foster a positive and professional kitchen culture that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and quality.
- **Food Preparation & Presentation**:
- Prepare high-quality dishes in your assigned section according to the café's menu and standards.
- Ensure that food is prepared in a timely manner, meeting both quality and presentation standards.
- Contribute new ideas and seasonal menu items to keep the café’s offerings fresh and exciting.
- Maintain consistency in the taste, appearance, and portion control of dishes.
- **Quality Control**:
- Oversee the quality of ingredients and dishes coming from your section, ensuring they meet Ariko Café’s high standards.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is used properly and cleaned and maintained regularly.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Conduct regular checks on stock, rotating products to minimize waste and ensure freshness.
- **Inventory & Stock Management**:
- Assist in managing the stock for your section, ensuring that inventory is accurate and orders are placed in a timely manner.
- Monitor food cost and portion control to help manage kitchen expenses effectively.
- **Continuous Improvement**:
- Participate in menu development, helping to introduce new ideas and techniques to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative practices into the kitchen.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Experience**:
- Minimum of 3 years in a professional kitchen environment, with at least 1 year at the Chef de Partie level or above.
- Experience in high-volume or fine-dining establishments is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen operations.
- **Leadership Skills**:
- Ability to lead, mentor, and inspire junior chefs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the team.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Excellent knife skills, mise en place, and a deep understanding of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Experience with menu planning, costing, and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for consistently delivering high-quality food.
- **Health & Safety**:
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP or equivalent certification is a plus).
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- **Creativity**:
- A keen eye for food presentation and a creative approach to developing new dishes.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
