**Job Title**: Duty Medical Officer (DMO)
**Job Description (JD)**:
A Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to patients in a hospital setting. The DMO is the first point of contact for any medical emergencies during non-consulting hours and ensures patient safety, accurate treatment, and documentation under the supervision of consultants.

**Key Roles**:

- Ensure timely medical attention and care to inpatients and emergency cases.
- Bridge communication between patients, nurses, and senior doctors/consultants.
- Monitor and manage patient condition, especially during night shifts and weekends.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Care**:

- Examine and monitor inpatients regularly.
- Attend emergency cases and provide primary treatment.
- Prescribe medication and treatment per protocol or in consultation with senior doctors.
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in medical records.
- **Emergency Handling**:

- Provide immediate medical care for emergency cases.
- Coordinate with emergency team and specialists for critical interventions.
- **Coordination with Consultants**:

- Update consultants about any critical changes in patient condition.
- Carry out treatment plans advised by consultants.
- **Clinical Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of patient vitals, progress notes, and treatment given.
- Ensure discharge summaries are properly recorded and reviewed.
- **Ward Management**:

- Supervise nurses and support staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Address any patient or relative concerns courteously and promptly.
- **Compliance and Protocols**:

- Follow hospital policies, clinical protocols, and infection control practices.
- Report incidents and ensure proper documentation of adverse events.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- MBBS degree with valid medical registration (mandatory).
- Clinical experience (1-32years preferred, including internship).
- Good diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
