Dam Designer

**_Experience: _**~ 15 to 20 years (Atleast 12 years in Design & 3 years of Design coordination for Execution of Dam)

**_Role: _**Leading a team for Design / Design verification and Design coordination of Dam (Concrete/Earth and rockfill). He should be able to comprehend and review the functional requirements to ensure integration of designs done by all disciplines (Civil, Architecture & Geotechnical). He is also expected to work well with others including other design consultants / sub consultants; as well as provide guidance to less experienced team members as necessary.

**_Requirements/ Skills: _**
- Independently perform / review structural engineering related calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
- Independently write / review technical specifications, reports, and other correspondence to a variety of audiences.
- Should have experience with 2D and 3D FEM analysis of Dam (Concrete/earth & rockfill).
- Should have an overall understanding of all related disciplines and functional requirements and has to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams like hydraulics, Geotech, geology, HM etc. for complete solution and integrated solutions.
- Perform independent checking of the design work of other design consultant / team members.
- Mentor and oversee the work of less experienced design team members
- Strong understanding of structural behavior and mechanics of materials including: concrete, steel, Slope stability analysis etc.
- Exceptional technical and communication skills
- Demonstrate a strong ability to meet project budgets and schedules
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites (Outlook, Word, Excel) and relevant design software
- Strong organization skills

**_Minimum Qualifications / Education: _**
- This position requires a Masters degree in engineering (civil / structural/Hydraulics) from an accredited university and at least Fifteen (15) years of experience. A Master's degree focused in structural engineering is preferred.

**_Previous experience/skills: _**
- Should have worked in the Design development of at least one concrete/Earth and rockfill Dam of height > 40m.
