Job Opportunity: Hydraulics & Irrigation System Design Engineer

We are looking for a
highly skilled and motivated Hydraulics & Irrigation System Design Engineer
to join our team. The role involves the
design, analysis, and preparation of drawings
for irrigation infrastructure such as
dams, barrages, canal networks, micro-irrigation systems, and other hydraulic structures
.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design of hydraulic structures including dams, barrages, weirs, spillways, and intake systems in line with standard engineering codes.
  • Develop layouts for micro-irrigation systems, pipe network designs, and hydraulic profiles for efficient water distribution.
  • Carry out hydraulic modelling, flow analysis, and preparation of hydraulic grade line diagrams.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications using
    AutoCAD, Civil 3D
    , or similar tools.
  • Collaborate with survey, GIS, and geotechnical teams for integrated design solutions.
  • Support the preparation of
    Detailed Project Reports (DPRs)
    .
  • Attend client meetings, site visits, and review discussions with stakeholders.


Required Qualifications & Skills

  • B.E. / M.E. in
    Civil Engineering
    (specialization in Hydraulics / Water Resources preferred).
  • 3–5 years
    of relevant experience in the design of irrigation and water resource structures.
  • Proficiency in
    AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Water GEMS
    or equivalent hydraulic modelling software.
  • Strong grasp of hydraulic principles, irrigation techniques, flow analysis, and pipe hydraulics.
  • Familiarity with
    WRD, CWC guidelines
    , and state irrigation department practices.
  • Excellent report writing, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both
    independently and in multidisciplinary teams
    .
