Dam Design

Responsibilities:

- Review the Designs provided by Client and recommend latest international practices.
- Proposing & managing the Dam Concrete Placement Solutions using various systems, viz., Cable cranes, Towerbelts, etc.
- Design / Evaluation of Concrete Conveyor Systems or alternate methods.
- Managing Concrete Mix Designs, Quality Control and High Speed Placement.
- Laision with vendors to properly install, execute & monitor the concreting systems.
- Making recommendations on utilization of available machineries from other projects.
- Ensure that high quality construction is achived and all work is carried outin full compliance with the engineering design, technical specifications and other contract documents.
- Identify alternative solutions and optimization opportunities that could impact the site operations, based on strategy determined.
- Strong liaison with Clients/PMC and actively respond to technical queries to ensure timely approval.
- Participate in project review meetings and project milestone meetings.
- Work within defined deadlines, understanding customer requirements, identifying risks and presenting work to the higher management.
- Continuous review and improvement of the overall program strategy.
- Actively supervising the engineering tasks; providing guidance to the Project Team.

Desired Profile:

- Expert in Dam Engineering (Large Concrete Gravity Dams)
- Expert in Dam construction with minimum 20 to 25 years of experience.
- Experienced in construction of Concrete Gravity Dams, Rock and Earth fill dams, RCC dams, etc.
- Minimum work experience of 5 international Large Dam Projects.
- Expertise covers every part of Dam including piers, spillways, bulkheads slots, gates, etc.
- Excellent negotiation skills, professionalism, organizational capacity and ability to effectively transfer knowledge and provide training to resources.
- Ability to travel to site and offices of other stakeholders to resolve project issues as and when required
