Production Planner

**Job Title**: Production Planner for a Gems and Jewellery Company

**Location**: Vile Parle, Mumbai

**Reports to**: Management/Founder

**About the Company**:
Our client is a leader in the Gems and Jewellery industry, specializing in high-quality designs and craftsmanship. We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Production Planner to join their team and ensure the smooth and efficient flow of production processes.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Production Planning & Control**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain production planning and control processes to ensure efficient operations.
- Monitor the entire production process, from raw materials to finished products, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with various departments, including design, procurement, and sales, to align production schedules with business needs.

**2. Inventory & Material Management**:

- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure the availability of necessary materials.
- Manage raw material inventory and ensure timely procurement to avoid production delays.
- Optimize resource usage to minimize waste and reduce production costs.

**3. Quality Control**:

- Implement and maintain stringent quality control procedures to ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the production process.
- Inspect products regularly and collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any quality issues.

**4. Team Leadership & Coordination**:

- Supervise and manage the production team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment by addressing employee concerns and enhancing productivity.
- Coordinate with outsourced manufacturers, suppliers, and internal departments to meet production targets.

**5. Process Improvement & Reporting**:

- Continuously analyze production data to identify areas of improvement and potential cost-saving measures.
- Identify and implement process improvements, introduce new techniques, and ensure that the team stays updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
- Prepare and present regular production performance reports to senior management.

**6. Safety & Compliance**:

- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout the production process.
- Monitor safety standards and ensure that production practices prioritize the well-being of all employees.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Production Planning, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in Production Planning and Control, particularly within the jewellery manufacturing industry.
- Solid knowledge of CAD and jewellery manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Experience in managing outsourced manufacturing operations.
- Certification in Jewellery Design or Production is a plus.
- Proficiency in production management software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities with both internal teams and external suppliers.

- Expertise in production optimization and cost reduction strategies.
- Familiarity with CAD and other relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
