COMMI 1 is a kitchen professional who prepares, cooks, and serves food, and helps maintain kitchen standards. Their responsibilities may include:

- **
Food preparation**: Portioning, chopping, and storing ingredients, washing and peeling fruits and vegetables, and weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients
- **
Cooking**: Preparing and cooking food according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation standards
- **
Food service**: Serving food at the correct temperature, taste, and visual appeal
- **
Kitchen maintenance**: Maintaining the kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and reporting any defects in the kitchen or equipment- **
Inventory management**: Monitoring stock movement, requisitioning items, and accepting and storing deliveries- **
Teamwork**: Assisting in maintaining camaraderie in the kitchen, and cooperating with staff in each section- **
Communication**: Communicating clearly and effectively in a kitchen environment- **
Personal hygiene**: Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene- **
Training**: Educating and guiding junior chefs

SomeOrganizational skills, Ability to complete duties in a timely manner, Ability to multi-task and work under pressure, Willingness to learn new skills, and Effective communication skills.

**Requirements**:

- Continental & Multi Cuisine - with minimum of 5 station handling and will establish and maintain a regular cleaning and maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and all kitchen equipment.
- Always supports safe work habits and a safe working environment.
- Provides training and professional development opportunities to all kitchen staff.
- Ensure that representatives from the kitchen attend service meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as directed
