
Field Officer

The Field Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing manpower allocation, attendance, and productivity within the plant. The officer will work closely with HR and operational teams to ensure sufficient workforce availability, adherence to company policies, and smooth day-to-day operations. The role involves on-ground supervision, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and resolving workforce-related issues.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Manpower Planning & Allocation**:
- Ensure the right allocation of workers based on daily production requirements.
- Maintain a clear understanding of staffing needs and coordinate with the HR team for recruitment and deployment.
- Manage temporary and contract labor requirements.
- **Attendance & Timekeeping**:
- Oversee attendance, timekeeping, and ensure accurate records for all staff and laborers.
- Implement and monitor attendance tracking systems (biometrics, manual logs, etc.).
- Address absenteeism and tardiness issues promptly.
- **Compliance & Safety**:
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws and company policies related to labor management.
- Ensure that workers comply with safety regulations and report any safety breaches to the management.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and compliance checks with laborers and contractors.
- **Performance & Productivity Monitoring**:
- Track worker productivity and ensure targets are met within the stipulated time frame.
- Provide feedback to workers and supervisors on performance-related matters.
- Implement motivational and disciplinary measures as needed to improve worker performance.
- **Coordination & Communication**:
- Serve as a liaison between plant management, workers, and contractors.
- Address and resolve conflicts or grievances within the workforce, escalating serious matters to the management or HR.
- Facilitate training and onboarding sessions for new workers.
- **Reporting & Documentation**:
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on manpower status, attendance, and productivity.
- Ensure proper documentation for all labor-related activities, including contracts, attendance sheets, and safety certifications.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Operations Management, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in manpower or workforce management in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of labor laws, workforce allocation, and productivity management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage large groups of workers effectively.
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
