**Job Description: Medical Coder (1 Year Experience)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Review and analyze medical documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services following established coding guidelines (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS Level II).
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of coded information for billing, reimbursement, and compliance purposes.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, clinicians, and billing personnel to clarify and obtain necessary documentation for accurate coding.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant coding guidelines, regulations, and industry changes to ensure compliance with coding and documentation requirements.
- Resolve coding discrepancies and inconsistencies by researching and analyzing information from medical records and other sources.
- Utilize appropriate coding software and tools to facilitate accurate and efficient coding processes.
- Participate in coding audits and quality improvement initiatives to maintain coding accuracy and compliance.
- Assist in the education and training of staff members on coding updates, changes, and best practices.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards and professional conduct in all coding and documentation activities.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other stakeholders as needed to address coding-related inquiries and concerns.

**Qualifications**:
**BSc/B.Pharm/M.Pharm etc**
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Coder in a healthcare setting.
- Should have Sound Knowledge of RCM.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, RHIT) is highly preferred.
- Solid understanding of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II coding systems and guidelines.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately interpret clinical documentation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify inconsistencies and discrepancies in medical records.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals, billing personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively to meet coding and documentation deadlines.
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance regulations and coding ethics.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address coding-related challenges and inquiries.
- Adaptability to evolving coding guidelines and industry changes.

**Salary**: From ₹25,000.00 per month
