A medical coder's job is to translate a patient's medical records into medical codes. They play an important role in the billing process by ensuring that the patient's records are accurate and that the codes used are appropriate. Here are some of the responsibilities of a medical coder:

- **Transcribing patient information**Medical coders transcribe patient information into medical codes, such as ICD-9-CM and CPT codes.
- **Examining medical records**Medical coders examine medical records for missing information and ensure that all documents are grammatically correct.
- **Conducting chart audits**Medical coders conduct chart audits to ensure that the documentation supports the diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
- **Researching and analyzing data needs**Medical coders research and analyze data needs for reimbursement.
- **Identifying discrepancies**Medical coders identify discrepancies, potential quality of care issues, and billing issues.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Night shift

**Experience**:

- total work: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical Coding: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

- CPC, CIC, COC (required)
