**Your Role and Responsibilities**
- The Solaris Systems Administrator will maintain smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators. Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance,
- installing system wide software and allocate mass storage space. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

**Required Technical and Professional Expertise**
- Maintaining inventory database, technical drawings, site documentation updates
- Testing the procedures in the lab environment, providing inputs to change designers
- Cooperation with service delivery teams in terms of incident, problem and change management
- Act as technical expert to provide solutions as part of problem management process
- Continuous improvement in process workflows, project management reporting
- Provide training / knowledge share to delivery teams on new integrations and functionalities delivered
- Definition of backup/recovery procedures and preventive maintenance toward system administrator
- System upgrade planning, coordination and on-site assistance, acceptance tests
- Participate in on-call duty service
- Liaise with customers and/or vendors as point of contact at technical level
- Experience of installing, configuring and upgrading infrastructure systems, experience of NIM
- To identify & take ownership of issues found and resolve at earliest opportunity according to priority and impact.
- Investigate the root-cause of incidents and look to implement fixes where possible rather than work arounds.

**Preferred Technical and Professional Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience
- Extensive experience (5 years) Oracle/Sun Solaris (9, 10 or 11) required.
- Shell scripting (e.g. bash) and experience in other languages like Perl.
- Must have Technical skills to professionally interact with internal and external organizations.
