Assist in the preparation of ingredients such as cutting, chopping, marinating, and portioning.
- Follow specific recipes and instructions for preparing Chinese dishes like stir-fries, soups, dumplings, and sauces.
- Prepare mise-en-place for service in a timely manner.
- Cooking various Chinese dishes, including Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, and other regional cuisines.
- Ensure the correct cooking techniques are used (e.g., stir-frying, steaming, boiling, deep-frying).
- Plate and garnish dishes to present them attractively.
- Keep the kitchen area and equipment clean and sanitized at all times.
- Follow hygiene and safety regulations, ensuring that all food is handled in a safe and sanitary manner.
- Assist in washing and storing kitchen utensils and equipment after use.
- Support the Chef de Partie or other senior chefs in the kitchen by performing basic cooking and preparation tasks.
- Help in managing kitchen operations during peak hours to ensure smooth workflow.
- Provide assistance during inventory checks and stock rotations.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients used in Chinese cuisine and report any shortages to the senior chef.
- Properly store leftover food and ensure it is used or disposed of according to food safety standards.
- Learn and improve upon cooking techniques under the guidance of senior chefs.
- Be open to receiving feedback and continuously enhance your skills in Chinese culinary techniques and dishes.
- Work efficiently to ensure that dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with other sections of the kitchen to maintain the smooth flow of kitchen operations.
Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
