- **Emergency Management**:

- Attend to critical and deteriorating patients, initiating resuscitation and emergency procedures as needed.
- Respond to code blue or other medical emergencies in the hospital.
- **Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
- Write medical notes, discharge summaries, and referral letters.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with consultants, senior medical officers, and other healthcare professionals to manage patient care.
- Attend and participate in ward rounds, multidisciplinary team meetings, and case discussions.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families about diagnoses, treatment plans, and progress.
- **Clinical Skills**:

- Perform routine and specialized medical procedures, such as taking blood samples, inserting intravenous lines, or managing wound care.
- Carry out minor surgeries or assist senior surgeons in operations, as required.
- Interpret diagnostic test results (e.g., blood tests, imaging).
- **Supervision and Teaching**:

- Supervise and guide junior medical staff, including medical students or interns.
- Provide clinical education and training to junior medical staff.
- Contribute to the development of protocols and clinical guidelines for patient care.
- **Shift Work and On-call Responsibilities**:

- Work during regular hospital hours or on a shift basis, which may include nights, weekends, and public holidays.
- Be available for on-call shifts to handle emergencies or critical patient conditions outside of normal working hours.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Assist in the management of hospital resources, such as medications, medical supplies, and equipment.
- Complete administrative tasks related to patient care, including ordering tests and managing referrals.
- **Patient Discharge**:

- Ensure patients are appropriately discharged, with a clear treatment plan or referral to other services as needed.
- Provide post-discharge advice to patients on how to manage their condition at home.
- **Professional Development**:

- Participate in continued medical education and training programs.
- Keep up-to-date with medical advancements, new treatments, and healthcare practices.
- Contribute to clinical audits and research projects where applicable.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- **Licensing**: Must hold a valid medical license to practice.
- **Experience**: At least one year of clinical experience or more, depending on the specific requirements of the hospital.
- **Skills**: Strong clinical and communication skills, ability to work under pressure, empathy, and teamwork.
- **Additional**: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required.
