- An exciting opportunity has arisen JATO is seeking an Automotive Researcher to join the Research team based in India. Ideally, we are looking for an individual based in Bangalore.
- As an Automotive Researcher, you will be responsible for collecting and inputting data from the automotive industry to enhance the official Registration figures and to improve the quality of existing data for the local market. In addition, you will work on creating detailed profiles for all the Dealers officially appointed by OEMs.
- Ideally, you will have strong self-motivation in conjunction with an analytical approach to data collection. This field operative may work remotely with limited direct contact with the company.
- We are looking for an individual who has previous automotive experience within a client focused specialist environment or a strong interest within the automotive.**Key Responsibilities**
- Build up and maintain deep contacts within the automotive industry (both at OEM and dealer & local RTO level)
- Liaise with automotive manufacturers/dealers/RTOs to collect volumes and model mix data on a monthly basis
- Liaise with other data suppliers such as trade organizations to gain additional information
- Provide company with complete sales and/or registration data at version Level for Passenger cars & Commercial vehicles industry
- Actively find new and better ways of collecting information to help enhance the official sales / registration data
- Monitor the quality of the Volumes data on the local market and report any anomalies to for correction
- Elicit additional relevant information and ensure a steady flow of the highest quality data by using effective working and influencing skills
- Effective handling of issues through active communication with field research coordinator
- To support development of new products around volumes & Modelmix
- Collecting data in a timely manner and input of data into our database using JATO’s software and maintaining an up-to-date and complete database
- Maintaining the utmost levels of confidentiality and discretion with dealing with company and client information
- Follow and attend market events

**Key Requirements**
- Must have worked within the automotive industry within OEM/multi-brand dealer environment
- Ideally within a client focused or specialist environment (essential)
- Knowledge of the local car market and a working knowledge of the terms used to describe vehicles is essential
- Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Must be self-motivated, confident and results driven
- Must have exceptional communication skills, verbal and written in English and local language
- Must have the ability to input large amounts of data into systems or spreadsheets (essential)
- Must have good attention to detail
- The ability to prioritise workloads and respond to tight deadlines
- Innovative in developing new data and product information
- Experience of working remotely or independently
- Proficient with MS Packages
