Job Purpose: The purpose of the Warehouse Professional role in an Export Oriented Unit (EOU) is to efficiently manage and coordinate all aspects of warehouse operations to support the smooth functioning of the EOU. The Warehouse Professional would play a critical role in ensuring effective inventory management, adherence to regulatory guidelines, and compliance with EOU-specific requirements. The role would be also responsible for maintaining accurate records, implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and optimizing stock movement while minimizing losses due to shrinkage, damages, and expiries.

Main Responsibilities:

- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock counts, and optimize stock movement.
- Create and implement SOPs to streamline warehouse processes and ensure consistency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and EOU guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of warehouse activities for audit purposes.
- Handle GST computations and assist in audits. Prepare reports related to warehouse performance and inventory.
- Create and monitor forecast accuracy report on weekly basis. Develop Warehousing reports
- Coordinate with logistics and transport departments for efficient dispatch activities.
- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure materials are inspected with proper documentation.
- Oversee packing, loading, and dispatch activities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety practices.
- Process /Approve QC invoices for payment on daily basis.
- Monitor stock movement, aging, and highlight forecast accuracy. Issue Debit Notes and Credit Notes as needed.
- Take ownership of warehouse assets, conduct periodic verifications, and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Identify areas for cost-saving initiatives and drive process improvements.
- Reporting Material Shrinkage, Dump, Damages & Expiries Control to Relevant Business Functions: Ensure that any incidents of material shrinkage, dump, damages, or expiries are promptly reported to the appropriate business functions for timely action and resolution.
- Obtaining sub-contracting permission from the Inter-Ministerial Group on Customs Research & Development (IGCRD) for the operations within the Export Oriented Unit (EOU).

Competencies & Skills:

- Previous experience in warehouse management or related field.
- Strong understanding of EOU regulations and documentation.
- Proficiency in inventory management and record-keeping.
- Familiarity with GST computations and reporting.
- Exposure to and proficiency in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
- Good exposure to Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) and Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) documentation knowledge
- Knowledge of complying with Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and other local regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient warehouse operations.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and find effective solutions
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
