Maintenance Engineer

Having 4-8yrs exp in HIgh Pressure Die Casting Maintenance Engineer

Diploma BE
- Lead day-to-day operations of high-pressure cold chamber die casting machines (typically for aluminum/zinc components).
- Oversee die changeovers, startup, shutdown, and ensure proper die setting as per standard parameters.
- Monitor and optimize machine parameters to improve quality and reduce defects like porosity, cold shut, misrun, etc.
- Ensure proper functioning of peripheral systems like shot sleeves, goosenecks, temperature controllers, chill vents, and ejector systems.
- Troubleshoot process and equipment-related problems in real-time to minimize downtime.
- Maintain documentation such as machine logs, quality check sheets, and process records.
- Coordinate with maintenance and die maintenance teams for PM (Preventive Maintenance) and TPM activities.
- Identify areas for cycle time reduction, OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) improvement, and cost control.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environment standards, and 5S practices in the die casting area.
- Train and guide operators and junior engineers in die casting techniques and best practices.
- Support new die trials, sample approval (PPAP), and process validation activities.
