Job Responsibilities
- **System Management**:

- Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and networking equipment.

2. **Network Administration**
- Monitor and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network performance issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Configure and manage firewalls, routers, and switches to ensure optimal network performance.

3. **User Support**
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students for hardware and software issues.
- Train and assist users in utilizing technology effectively.

4. **Data and Security Management**
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect college data and systems from cyber threats.
- Perform regular data backups and recovery planning.
- Monitor systems for potential vulnerabilities and breaches, and respond promptly to incidents.

5. **Infrastructure Planning**
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the college’s IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to identify and fulfill technology needs.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and updates.

6. **Vendor and Asset Management**
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance.
- Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.
- Ensure all software licenses are current and compliant with licensing agreements.
- Perform regular system updates, security patches, and software upgrades.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN).
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users effectively.

Experience
- 2-5 years of experience as a System Administrator or in a related role.
- Experience in an academic or educational environment is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
