Job Description:
We are looking to hire an intern to work in creation of standard operating procedure (SOP) for various crops in our Farm. This work will be remote (work from home) majorly with possibilities of site visit.

Objectives:

- Prepare a generic list of vegetable/fruits crops suitable to Odisha climate, and soil type
- Create the SOP for each of the crops with quantifiable parameters starting from selection of seed to harvest for hypothetical best climate and soil type
- Create a database of the available seeds
- Analyze and understand the properties of soil available in the farm
- Plan a list of treatments/solutions needed to make the soil at the farm suitable for each of the crops in the prepared list
- Implement the solutions in a test patch in collaboration with the employees
- Monitor the progress of various solutions
- Incorporate the solutions in the SOP
- Devise new methods for seed germination and transplantation

**Requirements**:

- Completed third year in the University towards bachelor’s in agriculture with no backlogs
- Interest in Agricultural and agriculture engineering
- Access to Laptop, internet at home
- Completed Courses: Fundamental of Horticulture, Fundamental of Soil Science, Fundamental of Agronomy, Fundamental of Crop Physiology and Application, Crop Production Technology-I(Kharif Crops), Production Technology for Vegetable & Spices, Crop Production Technology-II(Rabi Crops), Problematic Soils and their Management, Production Technology for Fruit and Plantation crops, Manures, Fertilizers and Soil Fertility Management, Principle of Integrated Pest and Disease Management, Disease of field and Horticultural Crops and their Management, Crop Improvement-I (Kharif Crops), Farm Management, Production & Resource Economics, Seed Quality Testing, Disease of Field and Horticultural Crops and their Management-II, Crop Improvement-II(Rabi Crops), Practical Crop Production-II(Rabi Crops), Soil ,Plant, Water & Seed Testing

Stipend

INR 5000-7500 per month with possibility of future employment

Contract length: 3 months
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: ₹5,000.00 - ₹7,500.00 per month
