
Phlebotomist/health Care Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- **Blood Collection**:
- Perform venipunctures and skin punctures to obtain blood samples.
- Follow proper procedures for labeling and handling blood specimens.
- Ensure the correct identification of patients and specimens to avoid errors.
- Use appropriate equipment and techniques to minimize patient discomfort and ensure successful sample collection.
- **Patient Interaction**:
- Greet patients warmly and provide clear explanations of the blood-drawing procedure.
- Address patient concerns and answer questions to alleviate anxiety.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- **Specimen Handling**:
- Prepare, store, and transport blood specimens according to established protocols.
- Ensure specimens are correctly documented and delivered to the laboratory promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of all collected specimens and procedures performed.
- **Safety and Compliance**:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow infection control procedures to prevent the spread of pathogens.
- Comply with regulatory standards and guidelines for phlebotomy practices.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:
- Ensure all phlebotomy equipment is clean, sanitized, and in good working order.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on phlebotomy instruments.
- **Administrative Duties**:
- Maintain organized records and documentation of all procedures.
- Assist in the inventory management of phlebotomy supplies.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
Pay: ₹180,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
