**Responsibilities**:
The role and responsibilities of a Physical Education (PE) Teacher in a CBSE school include:
**Teaching Physical Education**: The primary role of a PE teacher is to teach Physical Education to students in the school. This involves designing and implementing lesson plans that promote physical fitness, motor skills development, and a love for sports and exercise.

**Assessing Student Performance**: Assessing student performance in physical activities and providing feedback to students and parents. They may conduct fitness tests, track progress, and provide recommendations for improvement.

**Coordinating Sports Events**: Responsible for coordinating sports events and competitions within the school or with other schools. This includes organizing teams, scheduling matches, and overseeing the logistics of the events.

**Promoting Healthy Habits**:Play a crucial role in promoting healthy habits among students, such as regular exercise, proper nutrition, and good hygiene. They may also educate students on the dangers of substance abuse and unhealthy behaviors.

**Providing First Aid**: In the event of an injury during a physical activity, the PE teacher should be trained to provide basic first aid and medical attention. They should also have emergency plans in place for more serious injuries.

**Maintaining Equipment and Facilities**:Ensure that all equipment and facilities used for physical activities are safe and well-maintained. They should conduct regular inspections and make repairs as necessary.

**Professional Development**:Should stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physical education and sports by attending workshops, conferences, and training sessions. They may also engage in research to improve their teaching methods and curriculum.
