Job Title: Press Tool and Plastic Parts Mold Designer*

*Responsibilities:*

1. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand project requirements and specifications for press tooling and plastic parts molds.

2. Design press tools and plastic molds using CAD software, considering factors such as part geometry, material properties, and manufacturing processes.

3. Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.

4. Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews to assess the manufacturability and cost-effectiveness of tooling solutions.

5. Optimize tool designs for efficiency, reliability, and longevity, while minimizing production costs.

6. Generate detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to support manufacturing, assembly, and quality control processes.

7. Work closely with toolmakers and machinists to oversee the fabrication and assembly of tooling components.

8. Perform mold flow analysis and simulations to evaluate and improve mold designs for injection molding processes.

9. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling design, production, and performance.

10. Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in press tool and mold design.

*Qualifications :*

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.

2. Proven experience in press tool and plastic parts mold design, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

3. Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD, CATIA and UG.

4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including stamping, forming, and injection molding.

5. Knowledge of materials, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) principles.

6. Familiarity with mold flow analysis and simulation software (e.g., Moldflow and Autoform) will be added advantage.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

9. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

10. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to tooling design and manufacturing.
